    Stopping for a Sam'wich?

    Sometimes a sit-down meal is just not on the cards, and The Sam’wich Bar is the place to go for an incredible array of choices. Wraps, paninis, jacket potatoes, pastries, fresh bread, and fresh flowers. This fabulous shop is full of delicious treats, and we highly recommend popping in.

    St Peter & St Paul Church

    If you would love to feel a part of the community, you can immerse yourself like a local and visit St Peter & St Paul Church for Cream Teas and music all summer (until the end of September) on Sundays, 3-5 PM. You can pay your respects to Roald Dahl’s grave during your visit.

    Standing proudly in the village since the mid-1700s, The Three Horsehoes has a beer garden, lounge and TV in the bar. An excellent pub loved by locals for a good chat and a drink. They don’t provide food, but there is a butchers just 25 yards away that supplies delicious snacks.

    The Cock & Rabbit, The Lee

    Located in ‘The Lee’, an underrated and very quaint Chilterns village, famous for its feature in Midsomer Murders. Here you will find The Cock & Rabbit Inn, this well-loved pub is open from Tuesday-Sunday and conveniently operates as a coffee shop in the mornings too!

    The Firecrest, Wendover

    “Historians say that the infamous Highway Man used to use the pub as a stop off!”. This pub has a history dating back to 1827, a stunning place to soak up countryside views and enjoy a hearty meal. Hopefully, you don’t bump into Ian (the resident ghost)!

    Polecat Inn

    Once a 17th Century hunting lodge, the Polecat Inn is a popular food spot. They offer a large and varied menu, from sandwiches, to pizza, with many vegan and vegetarian options as well.

    Also an excellent location for a drink in the garden.
